Nonsters – Monsters with nonsense names
Class 5 have been reading a poem by Lewis Carroll titled “Jaberwocky” which is a poem that describes a monster named the Jaberwocky using nonsense words (read the poem here). Nonsense words were created by merging two or more words together to make a brand new word.
Class 5 had fun creating some of their own monsters in class and giving them names using nonsense words. Individually, they created the monsters names by mixing two describing words for the first part of their name and mixing two sounds that the monster would make for the second part of their name. As a group they also made up a poem of their own about another monster which they had created called “The Moily Greefly”. Have a look at the results below.
Bidangerous Garrsnaw
It has two horn and one eye. It has big nail two wings and his name Bidangerous Garrsnaw and it has tail its look like monster. He becomes angry.
Howerful Myouwwhaaugh
It has three eyes and it's crown is so beautiful. It's leg like a bird, it's wings are colourful. It has girl frock its chack was orange it has not hands it is not boy and girl it is mixture
Hangry Meow Maw
My monster name is hangry meow maw. My monster is big and his tail is also big. He has little eyes and little mouth. Big nails. He has also little hair he is so dangerous. His skin look like green and eyes black.
Howerful Rawmeek
It has 2 big wings. It has sharp teeth. It come in night time. It is a mixture of lion, tiger and a huge rat. It has two horns in his head. It has 4 hair. It has yellow strips with orange outline.
Terrifalien Raaagaww
1. He has many eyes but he has a biggest eye. 2. He has only four fingers. 3. He has threelegs fingers. 4. With the help of his many eyes he can see anywhere.
Biuge Murrlaissu
Biuge Murrlaissu is a very big and dangerous monster. He is non-vegetarian and too much powerful.He have flame eyes, a big tail, big - big nails, wings and a huge body. He is very disgusting and ugly. He was always very angry and hungry. He can kill us any time. He smells very bad and he is very big and huge so I named him Biuge Murrlaissu
Struge Rittyroll
This dragon is really dangerous dragon. It's name is Struge rittyroll. His one eye make him more interesting and dangerous. His nails are this much strong and sharp that it can tear a really big stone. It is 2 time taller than our school. It's teeth are not much sharp but they are strong. It also have a power of more than 50 Elephants.
Bistrong Rameamp
Dinosaurs nails were very long and sharp and their nose was big and could smell very well. Bistrong Rameamp are lazy some of them eat people.
Hangry Meowrarara
The hangry meowrarara has a big moustache and blue spots and ears it has back teeth and she is very bad animal and she is very dangerous. She is fat.
Che
My monster have big nail and he have big teeth and he have a babies and his babies look like him and he have very dirty body and he have big eyes colour is red and green and he is so big monster and it's babies body look small from him they are bad.
Hangry Meowruff
The meowrutt is scary the meowruff has green ears. The meowruff has a long tongue. The meowruffs tail is red.
Half goat half dog. Goat: Nice eyes big nose and colour is red black and green. Strong leg small ear and big nails big neck small hair. Dog: Nice ear and nice eyes small nose colour is black green and purple. Big nails small hair and tall neck small leg.
Bidangerous Ripapal
My dinosaurs was very big and his name is Bidangerous Ripapapa and his so strong hes nail is very big and sharp his eye is red and little bit green he listen very well and his teeth is very sharp.
Eyeglow
My monster name is eyeglow. It has many eyes and 1 leg and 2 wings and a big mouth it has red big teeth it has a big crown and in it there are two eyes.
Brrrr
Nice eyes, nice ear, big hair. It's colour is yellow and red. Strong leg and big nails and small neck.
Hangry needpaw
It has 1 leg. It has 2 eyes. It's colour like yellow and green. It is very ugly and dirty.
